What to expect at your Video Assisted Eye Exam

Patient intake information & Pretesting

The on-site office technician will record your basic information, ocular, and medical health history. Next, in the pretesting area, the technician will capture patient information about your current prescription, corneal measurements, eye pressure, images and videos of your eyes. The results of these tests are stored in a secure server for your optometrist’s review.

Next, the office technician will escort you to the optical exam room. Your technician will notify a remote technician that you are ready for preliminary eye refraction. The remote technician will record any eye complaints for the optometrist to review as part of the optometrist’s eye exam.

Licensed Optometrist performs the Virtually Assisted Eye Exam

Then, your optometrist will appear on the screen ready to communicate with you in real time, answer your questions, and learn about your vision concerns. Your optometrist will have remote control of the phoropter to refine preliminary prescription data, access all your ocular health information, and finalize your eye prescription.

At the conclusion of your exam, the optometrist will advise you of the early detection of health issues, if any, and deliver an accurate vision prescription to you.

1/18/2024 Best place I’ve been to ever! Myriam greeted me and was very friendly, Eric was the one ... who started my appointment and was very nice and cordial very sweet. Ruby started the actual exam and while they were short staffed they work very well together. Mark took over so Ruby didn’t neglect another patient. And back to Myriam for payment when all is said and done. But y’all when I say I will officially recommend ANYONE to go here. I got my prescription updated just ever so slightly but man what a better experience than past appts. These last people are amazing and friendly and incredibly helpful.

I’d like to thank Practice Manager Monica & Assistant Manager Mark. For helping me select the perf... ect set of Tom Ford sunglasses! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Mark. He was professional , friendly and was eager to answer any questions I had. Practice Manager Monica assisted me in selecting my frames. I must have tried on the entire stock! But she was patient, professional, and explained the lenses and coatings in detail. Thank you both for the five star experience!

Went in today for the first time, since my last eye doctor retired. Boy! What a great experience!!... ! The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely kind! I didn't even have to wait that long to be seen. I would say at best within 5 minutes of completing my new patient papers. The doctor was extremely sweet, knowledgeable, and kind as well!! Highly recommend this place! If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would! Valerie Maros

I had my appointment late in the afternoon (4:20). I arrived early and since it was almost empty i ... went in almost right after i finished all my paperwork. The ladies that did the first part of the appointment were professional and courteous. And Dr. FAULKNER, was very nice, I've never had an eye exam where i felt the Dr. Was really paying attention and listening to my concerns. He was thorough and he explained everything. I had good experiences since i called to make the appointment.

Very helpful!! I broke my glasses and I only thought the lenses had warranty but the frames did too�... ��� so today I walked out with a brand new pair of glasses thanks to Michelle & Lucy, they where really helpful🤓👌

I have recommended this place to many of my friends and family. Dr. Goff has been wonderful with my ... family. My mother was just seen and she explained everything to the fullest about what we needed to do. She was very detailed ! She had the office staff call the retina specialist and schedule for us and check to see if they accepted our insurance. Thank you for always making it a pleasant experience.

In eleven years of patronage of Envision Eyecare I have never had a negative experience, diagnosis o... r correction. Service has always been of the highest quality. My only negative experience was with Tricare for Life who changed their payment policy that increased my out of pocket expenses.

Everyone is so friendly! Dr. Faulkner is thorough and does an excellent job with examinations. The r... est of his staff is great too. They really treat you like a patient here, rather than just a number. Mariah is so patient and friendly. She enthusiastically helped us for over 45 minutes while we indecisively picked out our new glasses.
